1.  International Orphans Day

đź“… Date: November 7 every year

Purpose: To raise awareness about the plight of orphans worldwide - their education, emotional well-being, and protection from neglect or exploitation.

It’s observed by many NGOs and humanitarian organizations, though not yet officially recognized by the UN.

2.  International Widows’ Day

đź“… Date: June 23 every year

Recognized by the United Nations

Purpose: To draw attention to the poverty, discrimination, and social injustice faced by widows and their children in many parts of the world.
